How long does professional blind fitting take?
Fitting a single blind typically takes 10 to 20 minutes. A full house with eight to twelve windows usually requires half a day — roughly two to four hours including preparation and tidying.
The duration depends on blind type and window configuration. Roller and vertical blinds are the fastest, using simple bracket systems. Two or three screws per bracket and the blind clicks into position.
Shutters demand more time. Each panel must be levelled precisely and the frame may need trimming to fit the reveal exactly. A single window with shutters can take 30 to 45 minutes. A bay window with multiple panels can exceed an hour.
Perfect Fit blinds are the quickest of all because there is no drilling whatsoever. The frame clips into the window bead in under five minutes per window. A conservatory with ten or more Perfect Fit blinds can be completed in a couple of hours.
Electric blinds add a modest amount of time for motor setup, remote pairing, and operational testing. If mains wiring is involved rather than battery power, an electrician may be needed separately.
Our fitters work cleanly and leave no mess. We bring dust sheets and remove all packaging. The fitting appointment is scheduled at a time that suits you.
All fitting is included at no extra charge with every Solara Shades order.
